Pastors Chris and Kim Hoyt are the Founding and Co-Pastors of Journey Church. Having served together for the last twenty-four years at churches in Williamsburg, Hampton, VA, and San Antonio, TX, they answered the call to start Journey Church! 

As Newport News natives, they are excited to be back home, raising their three children and pastoring in the city where they grew up. 

Their oldest son, Caden, enjoys writing, listening to music, and drawing. Their middle son, Micah, is a creative, loves music and drumming, and serves as a drummer on the worship team. Their youngest daughter, JoAnna, prefers to go by Jojo. Jojo loves cats and horses and has a passion for drawing.  

Pastors Chris and Kim work in other career fields in Addition to their roles at Journey Church. Pastor Kim is a licensed cosmetologist who enjoys the creative outlet of doing hair and helping people feel great. Pastor Chris serves as the Corporate Chaplain for Worley's Home Services. 

Their hobbies include working out, ketogenic coaching, podcasting, and binge-watching Netflix (when Pastor Chris can stay awake).
