Rob and Tara Schwartz have been involved in mission work in the Dominican Republic for the last ten years. Tara has served on five different trips and has forged some incredible relationships with those who are the hands and feet of Jesus in their communities. One of these amazing people is Leandra Peguero Luciano, who lives in Santo Domingo. Leandra has served with several ministries impacting her community, such as Food for the Hungry, Compassion International, and Youth With A Mission. Recently, Leandra discovered a need for school supplies for many kids in Batey Bienvenido, Dominican Republic. Many of these kids, whose parents are immigrants from Haiti, lack basic school supplies, making it hard for them to get the education they deserve. Leandra is doing something about that.
